Summer PlantingsWe offer a variety of summer plantings for your grave site. The plantings listed below comply with the rules and regulations of the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. For a single grave the planting is approximately 24 inches wide; for a two-grave plot the planting is approximately 48 inches wide; for a three grave plot the planting is approximately 72 inches wide. All plantings are approximately 18 inches deep. The summer plantings can only be planted in an upright monument sections and can be planted whether a monument has been erected or not. They cannot be planted in the flat marker sections. We start planting around May 15th and continue until the end of June, however we cannot guarantee a specific completion date. The summer plantings are planted according to what we call rounds, (passes through the cemetery). We make four rounds of the cemetery. Your round will be determined by the date we receive your order. The later you order, the later your planting will be completed. You will be notified by email when your planting has been completed. We cannot be held responsible if a burial takes place in the plot after we have completed the planting. |

Please note- Recently, we have been experiencing many problems with border plants being cut down and/or missing from plantings. To eliminate these problems, we strongly suggest you order a summer planting without a border. Begonia Plantings - The following plantings are available in either red begonias or pink begonias with a border of either blue Ageratum, white Dusty Miller, or with no border as we have suggested above.

Impatiens - We can also do mixed color Impatiens plantings at your grave site. The Impatiens, however, cannot be planted in very sunny locations. The Impatiens are planted without a border as they will overgrow any border planted with them. Watering and WeedingIf you would like to have your summer planting watered and weeded we have set up a watering and weeding service. For an additional charge we will water and weed your planting twice in July, twice in August, and once in September. Following are the prices per planting for this service. |
